RiverOaks Chorus is delighted to partner with Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission!
Since 2009, Hope of the Valley has been providing more than just food, hygiene, shelter referrals and clothing to homeless members of our community. They provide just what their name suggests – Hope.
In its ten years of operation, Hope of the Valley has served thousands of hot, nutritious meals; distributed thousands of articles of clothing; provided more than 220 thousand showers; provided hundreds of referrals for shelter; and housed hundreds of people .
Homeless services include:
Three Thrift Stores (Granada Hills, Santa Clarita, and Simi Valley), the proceeds from which support homeless services.
A day Help Center in Van Nuys, which provides showers, clothing, hot lunch, mail service and case management for homeless clients.
Three group homes providing addiction recovery programs and supportive living for single men, families and former foster teens.
Cold weather emergency shelters in Pacoima and the Antelope Valley.
Many people, a good number of them women, find themselves homeless for a variety of reasons. The caring Hope of the Valley staff doesn’t ask why or how; they open their arms and hearts to help. The stories are sad but the ending doesn’t have to be.
You can help in so many ways!
