Sweet Adelines International hosts 24 regional competitions each year all over the world. These competition and educational weekends provide a myriad of opportunities for members to learn and grow through performance. Qualifying winners from each region may then proceed to compete in the International Competition & Convention that occurs toward the end of every calendar year.

 

Competition helps focus us on raising the bar of performing excellence.  Every spring, RiverOaks participates in the Region 11 Sweet Adeline's competition in Bakersfield, California.  Dozens of choruses and quartets step onto the big stage to sing and compete and cheer each other on. 

 

With this art form, there is always more to learn involving sound, music, expression and showmanship. This annual event is always a highlight and motivator and a great place to make friends.
